[ The Sudden Birth of Sakurai the Painter ]
In Ghanaian schools, physical education, music,
and art ( so-called “emotional education” ) are not required subjects.
For this reason,
my friends offer painting classes for neighborhood children on weekends,
free of charge.
And so . . . !
I, Sakurai, decided to learn how to draw with them!
The instructor is Mr. Simson.
He is an artist who teaches at an art training college run by his friends,
and also works as a textile designer.
About 20 years ago.
Sakurai is said to have shaken the world with his unique perspective
and unprecedented compositions that transcend three-dimensionality.
So what kind of works will he create this time ?
Here in Ghana, Sakurai the artist is born !
