In this video, a woman is shown working with a baby on her back.
In Ghana, I saw many women who work hard while
carrying their small children on their backs like this.
Her name is Mavis. She is a single mother of three children.
Her two older children live in a dormitory four hours away in the countryside.
Once a month she returns to the country to see her children and
spend the weekend with them.
I see her reflected in front of me as I struggle with my sewing machine.
I admire her strong and resilient form as she faces her work while
carrying her child on her back.
At the market, at the factory, in the car, on the street.
I saw many such women in Ghana.
